Spadework - tmactive's Charity of the Year 2022/24

 

We are delighted to appoint Spadework as our Charity of the Year for a second year.

The Spadework Trainees are involved in a variety of activities, from growing vegetables and plants, to making jams, chutneys, woodwork and craft items as well as the performing arts, including creating podcasts, music and drama. The Spadework Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Café are open to the public 7 days a week.

Kris Healey, Spadework CEO said: ‘We are very pleased tmactive has chosen to support the work we do at Spadework - to support people to lead more independent lives and to achieve their full potential within the community.’

We have worked with the charity on number of fundraising events including the tmactive Charity Golf Day 2022 which raised £2,500, Step Up for Spadework in April (£927) and our 2023 Charity Golf Day in May (£3000). We look forward to working with the charity until December 2023 when we will be appointing our next charity partnership.

This is the fourth year we have partnered with a charity, having worked with Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex and Heart of Kent Hospice previously, and look forward to raising funds for this very worthy local cause."
