Squash Courts at Poult Wood
Poult Wood has four squash courts, complete with upstairs spectator viewing gallery. The courts can be booked on a Pay and Play basis with discounts available to Priority Card holders.
Poult Wood Squash and Racketball Club offers club nights, junior coaching and competitions for those looking for organised matches and coached sessions.
The courts are open:
- Monday to Saturday 8am – last booking 8.30pm
- Sunday 8am – last booking 4.30pm
Pay & Play Booking
The courts have a token-based lighting system.
How to Book & Play
The courts are open daily for pay and play bookings from 8am.
- Book your court in advance via the tmactive app (download for free below), online, by phone or at the Pro Shop. Whether using the app or website, please select ‘make a booking’ or ‘squash’ from the activities list. As you start using the system, squash will appear in the quick book section.
- When you arrive at Poult Wood to play your game, purchase a lighting token from the vending machine in the lobby. Each token activates the lights for 1 hour. If you have multiple courts booked you will need a token for each booking.
- When your timed booking slot is about to start, check you are on your allocated court and put the lighting token in the collection unit by the court door.
- Bookings are for a set time period, when over, please leave the court promptly, taking your belongings and any rubbish with you. This remains the case even if you start your game late and the lights are still working at the end of your booked time.
Cost Breakdown
Priority Card / Club Members
Adult: Squash courts – P Adult (£7.00 lighting token + £3.00 booking fee)
Concession: £7.00 (£7.00 lighting token + free booking)
Visitors
Adult: £13.00 (£7.00 lighting token + £6.00 booking fee)
Concession: £8.50 (£7.00 lighting token + £1.50 booking fee)
Concession = State Pension Age/Junior/Leisure Pass
PLEASE NOTE: Any person using a court without a booking will be asked to leave regardless of whether they have paid for the lighting. In this case no refund will be given for the lighting token.
This new system ensures fair play, clear bookings and flexible access for all squash players.
Poult Wood Squash & Racketball Club
Poult Wood Squash and Racketball Club is an active, friendly squash and racketball club who organise league games and coaching sessions on a regular basis.
The Club has been awarded the bronze standard by Squash England and is an approved Mini Squash Centre.
During the week there are organised sessions for ladies and juniors alike. Contact the Club for full details.
