The Outdoor Pool is fully booked until Thursday 22/07/21. Casual users can call to book for Thursday on Tuesday 20/07/21. Indoor lane swimming sessions still available.

CUSTOMER STATEMENT - TSP BOOKINGS


I hope you are enjoying the seasonal weather and I am aware that this and the combination of the school holidays and relaxation of COVID restrictions is creating an upsurge in demand for swimming at Tonbridge Pool.

I have seen a number of comments about the difficulty in booking swims, especially for families, and I want to reassure you that we are working as hard as we can to respond to telephone, email and social media enquiries. One of the problems associated with the Government announcement in respect of unlocking is the concurrent surge in staff required to self-isolate having been ‘pinged’ by the NHS app.

We continue to take the health and safety of customers and staff very seriously and will continue to manage the facilities with this at the forefront of our planning. We continue to operate with restricted numbers and will review fortnightly.

In terms of booking we are working with our online and app provider to try and make this more accessible and expect families to have the ability to book online shortly. I have to advise that online bookings will not receive the discounted family swim rate although family DD members will clearly not pay a fee. The limitations of the technology are frustrating but we are working with the leading supplier and alternatives are not available in the leisure sector. We continue to press for a full solution.

In terms of telephony we have placed an order to renew our telephony systems across the Trust which will significantly improve our ability to respond to calls in a more timely fashion. This investment, despite the impact of COVID, is vital to improve our service and the new system is currently being built. I am unable to provide a ‘go live’ date at present but we will advise further as soon as possible.

Finally, I would ask for your continued patience and remind you that our front of house teams are working hard in the hot conditions to provide a great service – please treat them with respect for the benefit of everyone.
