Sports Hall Activities & Courses
The Sports Hall at the Angel Centre is home to a wide selection of activities and sports. Join one of our weekly gymnsatics, trampolining or badminton courses, sign up to one of the many clubs operating at the Centre or hire the courts and organise your own game of five-a-side football, badminton, short tennis, table tennis or basketball.
Pay & Play Activities
Choose from a number of pay and play activities available to suit your timetable as well as organised pay and play sessions:
Primetimers Short Tennis sessions take place on Wednesday 10am to 12pm. These social sessions offer you the opportunity to improve your tennis skills. Priority Card Concession* £4.80 | Adult £6.80 | Casual User Concession* £6.50 | Adult £9.70.
Primetimers Sports & Fitness Social offers a range of activities, combining the fun and social aspect of sport with with use of our excellent facilities. Running from 9.30am to 12 noon each Friday, activities include: Badminton, Short Tennis, Short Mat Bowls, Table Tennis and more - see Primetimers.
Weekly Walking Football Sessions Come and join our pay and play Walking Football sessions - great for keeping fit, learning new skills and for socialising. Ideal for men and women over 55, although everyone is welcome. There is a Beginners session each Tuesday from 2.30pm to 4pm and a Faster Play session on Friday from 2.30pm to 4pm. The rules are based on the format provided by Kent FA and will be led by a qualified coach. Wear trainers, shorts/trackie bottoms, t-shirt and bring water. COST: £4.70.

Club Sports - The Angel Centre is also home to a number of clubs including: Badminton Club, Tonbridge Volleyball Club, Synergy Taekwon-do and Rugby Tots all run regular sessions in the Angel Centre Sports Hall. Find out more.

Sports Hall Activity Courses
We organise a range of sporting activities for the complete beginner or improving enthusiast including gymnastics, trampolining and badminton. Led by fully qualified professionals, these term time courses aim to enable children and adults alike to learn new sports, develop existing skills and achieve awards, in a safe and fun environment.
Gymnastics Programme
We provide a range of gymnastics courses for the complete beginner or the advanced athlete. Taught by qualified British Gymnastics coaches, these courses are available for children from the age of 2 years, progressing all the way to the by invitation only Extension Gym Club.
Pre School
Pre School classes are for children aged 2 years to school age and their accompanying parent/guardian. Classes help improve co-ordination, balance and strength whilst working towards recognised National Gymnastics Awards (NGA) and certificates and take place on Monday and Friday from 1pm to 1.45pm.
Beginners/Intermediates
The Beginners/Intermediates for school aged children help to develop gymnastic skills as well as progressing through the NGA. Beginners classes take place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 5pm and Saturday from 8.30 to 9.30am and 9.30am to 10.30am. Intermediate classes on Monday 5pm to 6.30pm & Saturday 10.30am to 12 noon.
Extension Club (Advanced Programme)
The Extension Club (Advanced Programme) is by invitation only for gymnasts competing regularly in floor and vault competitions. All members of Extension must be registered to British Gymnastics. Classes take place on Tuesday 5 to 7pm, Thursday and Friday from 5 to 6.30pm.
Trampolining Programme
Each age specific course offers individuals the opportunity to have great fun whilst exercising and to progress through the British Gymnastics Awards.
The course for 5 to 9 year olds aims to develop basic trampolining skills required to work towards achieving BG Awards 1 and upwards. Classes take place on Monday 5pm to 6pm, Thursday 4pm to 5pm and Friday from 4pm to 5pm.
The course for 10 to 15 year olds is designed for pupils to achieve BG Awards 3 and upwards. Classes take place on Monday 6 to 7pm, Thursday 5 to 6pm and Friday from 5pm to 6pm.
Junior Badminton Courses
Led by fully qualified professional, these term time courses aim to enable children to get fit, develop new skills and achieve awards, in a safe and fun environment. Classes take place each week on Monday from 5pm to 6pm and 6pm to 7pm.
Home Portal for Sports Hall Courses
Sports Hall courses can be managed online using Home Portal. With one simple login you can manage one or more lesson on your PC or smart phone. Our teachers log monthly pupil progress electronically during lessons, this information can then be viewed on Home Portal. Another great benefit of Home Portal is that those paying in 15 week blocks can also view how many lessons they have remaining before they need to renew.
