PLEASE NOTE: For information on the vaccination process please visit the NHS website here.  Please don't call the Centre as we are only hosting, we cannot help you with your booking.  Now please read on.

Firstly, I hope you remain safe and well as the lockdown continues? I really hope that we are on the long final route out of the restricted measures and ultimately we can return to normal life some time later this year.

You may have heard on social or other media that the Angel Centre is to become a mass vaccination centre for West Kent. We are privileged and delighted to be playing a part in the drive to vaccinate the nation and become an important hub for local residents and those beyond in the fight to save lives.

We can confirm that when we are able to re-open the Gym and Medway Hall will be available for workouts and classes, and the community areas will still be accessible and available for public use as appropriate, based upon any ongoing restrictions. However, the use of the Centre for this purpose does have consequences for some activities. The vaccination centre will use the Sports Hall, Creche and adjacent Dance/Fitness Studio and will be in place until at least 31 May and whilst we may be able to relocate some activities, clearly others may not recommence until the vaccination centre is no longer required.

Of course, at present any plans to re-open are unknown and whilst the Government has signalled its ambition to re-open schools from 8 March at the earliest, we have no information when leisure facilities may follow.

In overall terms it remains the priority for the Trust to work with the Council, NHS and others to engage in this vital project for the health and wellbeing of the community. We understand that there may be opportunities to volunteer to assist this effort and we hope that details of how you may do so will be issued in due course.

We hope you will understand and support the need to provide this service at the Angel Centre and please rest assured that we will continue to update customers and work hard to ensure services are returned to normal as soon as possible.

Best Regards

Martin Guyton - Chief Executive
