Customer Statement – Poult Wood Programme & Operation from Monday 19 July

Dear Customer

Following my recent statement for the gradual easing of restrictions and reintroduction of facilities at tmactive sites, as promised here is the operational plan for Poult Wood Golf Course from Monday 19 July.

We know that our customers have appreciated our efforts to ensure a COVID-safe environment at our facilities during the course of the pandemic and it would seem irresponsible to simply return immediately to pre-pandemic operation and practice.

We intend, therefore, to unlock incrementally from Monday 19 July with customer and staff safety in mind.

To ensure continued customer and staff safety in the Centre the following will remain in place:

  • Hand sanitiser stations around the building.
  • Physical screens in the pro shop and at the restaurant till points.
  • Enhanced cleaning will continue in high use areas.
  • Customers are still requested to wear masks when moving through the building but can remove these when they have reached their activity area.
  • One-way systems will no longer operate around the building or activity areas.
  • We will also continue to promote the track and trace system.

Pro Shop / Foyer

  • The one-way system will no longer be in operation.
  • Opening hours will revert back to 7.30am-7pm and last buggy hire will be 3pm.
  • Additional numbers will be allowed into the shop but staff will request that customers wait outside if it becomes too crowded.
  • Customer club and shoe hire will now be available.
  • Club and grip repair service will fully resume.

Golf Course

  • 8-minute tee times on both courses will be retained.
  • Advance booking for the 9-hole course will be retained.
  • Course furniture – flagsticks, ball -washers, shoe-cleaners, rakes etc will be reinstated.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will remain on the course.

Driving Range

  • Advance booking will no longer be required, but tokens and range cards will still need to be purchased from the Pro Shop.
  • All bays will be put back into play.
  • The one-way system will no longer be in operation.
  • A course warden will still be present at busy times.

Squash Courts

  • Courts will be available to book from 8am - 8.30pm and will return to one-hour bookings – two courts bookable on the hour and two on the half-hour. For courts already booked the time will remain the same.
  • Sanitiser spray will remain available and we request that customers continue to sanitise all contact areas when they have finished their game.
  • Spectator area will be available to use but suggest no more than 3 people per court (12 total) in this area.
  • Enhanced staff cleaning will continue in the squash court area.

Changing Rooms and toilets

  • Changing rooms, lockers and showers will be fully available.
  • Toilets will return to full use.

  • Restaurant opening times will be 8am – 10pm.
  • The one-way system will no longer be in operation.
  • Customers will now be able to order drinks and meals at the bar and meals will be served at tables.
  • The current menu will remain in place initially with a new menu to be launched in August.
  • Customers are still requested to wear masks when moving between tables and the bar.

We are happy that we are further able to relax restrictions and allow greater use of our wonderful facilities at Poult Wood. Many, many thanks for your continued custom and patience during the past 18 months. I hope that a safe and sustainable route back to full operation will be seen over the next few months and that we will not have to reverse any of the measures referred to above. We will review specific arrangements at all sites every two weeks.

We look forward to seeing you all next week.

Kind regards

Martin Guyton - Chief Executive
