Leybourne Lakes Country Park proudly displays the prestigious Green Flag, marking it as one of the country’s top parks for 17 consecutive years.
This international quality award, managed by Keep Britain Tidy, recognises the park’s high standards in horticulture, safety, and environmental management.
Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, the park provides a space for healthy living and enjoyment for all. As recipients of the Award, the Park sits alongside parks and green spaces as diverse as the National Memorial Arboretum, Woodhouse Park, and Chiswick Old Cemetery.
Purpose & Aims of the Award
- To ensure that everybody has access to quality green and other open spaces, irrespective of where they live.
- To ensure that these spaces are appropriately managed and meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
- To establish standards of good management.
- To promote and share good practice amongst the green space sector.
- To recognise and reward the hard work of managers, staff and volunteers.
