Volunteering
Rewarding Opportunities
Volunteering is an extremely rewarding thing to do and it really would help us to make a big difference. So, if you’ve got a bit of time on your hands and fancy assisting us in shouting about all that is great about sport and exercise then do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you! You could also be a Conservation Volunteer at Leybourne Lakes Country Park or a Warden at Poult Wood Golf Course.
Please email us your contact details and outline any skills you have to share and hopefully we will be able to create a voluntary role that is rewarding for you.
Instructors & Activators
Do you have a passion for physical activity, health and wellbeing? Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to the wellbeing of others? If so, we are looking for community exercise instructors, sports coaches, volunteers and activators in the borough of Tonbridge & Malling to support and inspire people to participate in physical activity in their community.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals who have a friendly approach and positive attitude to help develop and raise awareness of physical activity opportunities for everyone.
We offer full, on-going training, including further training specific to volunteering roles.
For more details, please email Natalie Williams.
Conservation Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer to help maintain and improve Leybourne Lakes Country Park, we’d love to hear from you. As a volunteer you will be helping to maintain and become actively involved in shaping the future of Leybourne Lakes Country Park, as well as learning new skills. You can volunteer at times that suit your schedule or as a member of our monthly Conservation Volunteer Group.
As well as assist in practical site management and maintenance, volunteers also need to:
- Assist visitors by giving friendly advice and guidance
- Encourage by example, persuasion and personal approach a reduction in litter, dog fouling and other site issues
- Encourage others to follow the rules, and report any incidents of anti-social behaviour

Poult Wood Wardens
From time to time we recruit volunteer Wardens to work at Poult Wood Golf Course.
Volunteering is a great way of using your skills, making friends, getting involved in the community, getting fit or just getting out and about. Your duties would involve:
- Ensuring all golfers have paid the appropriate fees by systematic checking of tickets.
- Be responsible for the collection of green fees and issue appropriate receipts to golfers during specified times.
- Assist in managing matches and societies.
- Assist staff by carrying out minor greenkeeping or housekeeping duties.
In return for your assistance you will be provided with uniform, training and a 7 Day Poult Wood Membership offering unlimited use of the 18 Hole and 9 Hole courses.
